About
Transit of Venus is a mutable project band hatched by multi-instrumentalist Kristie Addison. T.o.V. released catchy pop-rock EP ‘Bitter Sweet Love’ in 2009, along with a music video for first single Meatmarket which was immediately playlisted by Juice TV. In 2010 Transit of Venus released live album ‘Nosferatu’ consisting of songs written and performed to accompany 1920s silent horror film of the same name. Kristie spent most of 2010 living in Malaysia, however upon her return to New Zealand T.o.V. has been stripped back from a 5 piece live band and reconstructed as a power-trio featuring talented former-christchurchians Nikolas Kissel on drums and Adam Willis on bass.
Transit of Venus have the wow factor going for them, and I like what I hear from this band.
Kristie Addison is the genius behind Transit of Venus and the Vox for the band, and well most of the music behind the EP itself. Transit of Venus has this brilliant rock and electro- rock feel to it, and it is actually mesmerizing, as I find myself listening to Secret for the 10th time tonight.
